my grandparents: a different generation.
the first time we took grandpa to the doctor:
"this is our granddaughter and our great-granddaughter. she's adopted. (our granddaughter's husband is not black.)"
today at grandpa's doctor:
"this is our granddaughter and great-granddaughter. aren't they wonderful?"
